About Me
I grew up in Northern Illinois, but Texas has been home for 30 years. I’ve lived in the Helotes area for nearly two decades, and honestly, being right on the edge of the Hill Country never gets old.
My career started in graphic design, where I learned pretty quickly that the details are everything. Working with small businesses on some of those projects, I kept seeing the same thing: talented owners doing meaningful work, but stretched too thin to give their finances the attention they deserved. That's when it clicked. I founded Blue Ember Ledgers to give small businesses the same financial clarity and consistency that larger companies get from full teams — without having to hire a full team.
Why I Do It Differently
That background in design runs deeper than just an origin story. For over a decade, I managed high-volume design workflows for national brands. That world has no tolerance for errors — a mistake in a print run of 1,000 means 1,000 mistakes. I brought that same standard to bookkeeping.
What that means for you: I’m not just logging transactions, I’m building a system where things don’t fall through the cracks, and where your books actually tell you something useful at the end of the month.
Built for Business Owners Who Are Carrying Too Much
Most small business owners aren’t behind on their books because they don’t care — they’re behind because they’re running everything else at the same time. As a fractional bookkeeper, I step in as dedicated financial support without requiring the overhead of a full-time hire.
That means you get consistency, accuracy, and someone who actually knows your books — without adding a salary to your payroll.
Let’s Build a System You Can Trust
You’re doing the hard work of running a business. The books shouldn’t be another thing that keeps you up at night. Take a look at the specific ways I can help — and if something resonates, reach out. The first 30 minutes are on me.
